Sara and Brad’s elopement was a quiet, thoughtful celebration — a city wedding that felt both intimate and timeless. They began their day in their Upper East Side apartment, getting ready together in the stillness of a rainy April morning. With no rigid schedule or crowd to manage, the pace was unhurried — just the two of them, preparing to step into this next chapter side by side.
Their ceremony took place at the Ladies Pavilion in Central Park, a structure as classic as the city itself. Set against a backdrop of peak cherry blossoms and softened by steady spring rain, the setting felt almost cinematic. A close friend officiated, lending the moment a personal, grounded energy that matched the spirit of the day.
After the ceremony, we wandered through Central Park, letting the weather lead us. The rain never let up, but it added a kind of poetry to the experience — from the quiet paths near the Pavilion to the arches of Bethesda Terrace, the park was full of movement and color, softened by fog and petals underfoot. We ended with a simple hot dog from a street cart — an unplanned but perfect nod to New York’s character and charm.
Elopements like Sara and Brad’s are a reminder that beauty often lives in the unscripted. A rainy day, a historic park, a walk through the city — sometimes that’s all you need.
